Jazz Open 2026: A Festival of Emotions

Nick Cave takes the stage, and the entire grandstand stomps with excitement. Katy Perry delivers the best pop show the Jazz Open has ever seen, with her fans singing along to every song. Moby brings the house down, while Jamiroquai gets everyone moving. At Jazz Open, everyone is in motion, yet everyone is exactly where they belong. Twelve days, 75,000 visitors, music fills the city, and emotions run high. The Old Castle, Schlossplatz, BIX, the SpardaWelt Event Center, Open Stages – Stanley Clarke, M. E. B., Joshua Redman, MEUTE, Curtis Stigers, Asaf Avidan, Lee Ritenour, Teddy Swims, Jamiroquai, Lenny Kravitz, and Moby. The rhythm of the city is constantly changing. But it never stops.

Joss Stone, barefoot among the crowd at first, later joins Jamie Cullum for a duet that could well be the festival's motto: Don't Stop the Music. And while she is singing that duet, her band has already made its way to BIX to support Emma Smith. Jamie Cullum sends his audience into the now legendary frenzy for which he is known, before bringing everyone to complete silence in the grand finale. Quietly yet intensely, he performs Gran Torino.
