Beth Hart is always different; at each of her highly emotional concerts, you get to know her all over again. It’s no different when she heads into the studio. In 2024, the Grammy-nominated American singer-songwriter released the album You Still Got Me, which stormed to number one on the U.S. Billboard Blues Albums chart, number one on the UK Jazz & Blues chart, and into the top ten across Europe. The deluxe edition released this year further amps up the excitement: featuring extended versions of Savior With A Razor – with the unmistakable guitar power of Slash from Guns N’ Roses – as well as Wonderful World, Wanna Be Big Bad Johnny Cash and Don’t Call The Police. Her third appearance at the Jazz Open, however, takes on a new significance for other reasons. She’ll be sharing the stage with guitar virtuoso Joe Bonamassa, with whom she released three studio albums and one live album in the 2010s. While each will perform their own set, one or two songs together – for old times’ sake – are on the program.

Blues-rock superstar Joe Bonamassa is regarded as an outstanding live performer. In 2026, the guitar enthusiast from New York released an album and a concert film entitled The Spirit of Rory – Live from Cork in memory of the blues-rock legend Rory Gallagher, who is buried in Cork. Prior to that, he had produced the album B.B. King Blues Summit 100 with many great colleagues (including Eric Clapton, Susan Tedeschi and Gary Clark Jr.). Both albums reached number one in the Billboard Blues Charts. His collaboration with Beth Hart was also highly successful. The pair produced three studio albums together in the 2010s, as well as a legendary live album from their concert in Amsterdam. Then they lost touch. At the Jazz Open, they will share the stage. Beth Hart will play first, followed by Joe Bonamassa – but for the first time in Europe, they will also perform one or two songs together again.
