Rasha Nahas is a versatile Palestinian artist, blending songwriting, performance, and storytelling in a unique way. Between moving boxes and fairy lights, Elaj from Heidelberg writes songs in a 13 m² shared apartment room. Evolving from a duo project, a full band has formed around songwriter Elaj, bringing energy that makes both the stage and every dancefloor move. At the heart of Elaj’s music lies a dialogue between guitar melodies and vocals, circling questions of queer identity and hearts in all states of being. In dynamic live sets, the band’s warm, rhythmic sound unfolds: driving, guitar-heavy, and emotionally charged.
On November 14, 2025, Elaj released the debut EP Zaubern—five tracks that could hardly be more different, yet follow the same inner compass: sometimes melancholic with cello, sometimes shaken by electric guitar riffs, but always radically open and disarmingly honest.
