Simply Red is always on the move. And since even tried-and-true classics can use a refresh every now and then, frontman Mick Hucknall treated himself to a ton of extra work for the band’s 40th anniversary. In 2025, the anniversary album *Recollections* was released—a massive three-CD set featuring 40 newly recorded versions of well-known hits. And to provide even stronger proof that the band is more alive than ever, the album *Live in Santiago* followed in 2026. Now Simply Red is back with the Summer Funk Tour 27 and is coming to the Jazz Open for the second time since 2023. Once again, fans can look forward to a “Best of” show showcasing the band’s successful history. The audience at Schlossplatz can once again sing along enthusiastically to hits like “Money’s Too Tight (To Mention),” “If You Don’t Know Me By Now,” “Something Got Me Started,” “Holding Back The Years,” and so on and so forth…
