Sūn Byrd is a young band from Oslo’s vibrant music scene, blending modern soul with influences from the 1960s and 1970s. Following the release of their debut album Sūn Byrd in spring 2024 and the success of the single “Half the Truth,” the seven-piece band is currently working on two new albums. With over 200 live shows in Oslo and a collaborative songwriting approach, Sūn Byrd is ready to take the next step internationally.

The bank
The former counter hall of the Sparda Bank branch at Stuttgart's main railway station was once transformed into a chic event location - and has since been a safe bank for top-class jazz concerts during the festival. Traditionally, the Jazz Open are opened here - with the awarding of the German Jazz Trophy. Under the motto "A Life for Jazz", deserving artists receive this award from the foundation Stiftung Kunst und Kultur der Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg.
